About us

Parla Arte is a creative platform project founded by Rania Najih in collaboration with the Immigrant Refugee Outreach Center (IROC). Its mission is to raise awareness about displaced communities across the DMV area (D.C., Maryland, and Virginia) through the power of art.
Each piece featured by Parla Arte reflects a refugee’s unique journey, resilience, and cultural heritage. The platform not only provides a space for artistic expression but also fosters understanding and empathy within the broader community.
80% of all profits go directly to the artist, while the remaining 20% covers essential expenses, including website maintenance and art supplies.
Ultimately, Parla Arte strives to build bridges between communities, amplify refugee voices, and promote humanity through creativity, compassion, and cultural connection.
